Control Cables

33c Cable:
  Most commonly found as throttle cables, also used as forward/reverse cables on Jacuzzi jet drives and very early 12ja Berkeleys.  Diameter of plastic jacket is approximatley 3/8".  Overall travel of cable is 3".  Both ends are secured via a waist in the metal portion of the housing.  Cable ends are 10-32 NF thread.  Many OEM cables had red jackets.


 

43bc Cables:
  Most common control cable in the vintage jet drive world.  Typically used for forward /reverse control and as manual Place Diverter trim control, also used on Berkleley Trim-a-just Jet-o-vator control. Diameter of plastic jacket is .450".  Overall travel of cable is 3".  One end of the cable is secured via a bulkhead style jam nut assembly, the other end is secured via a waist in the metal portion of the housing.  Cable ends are 1/4"-28 NF thread.  Many OEM cables had red jackets.


 

43c Cables:
  Typically used as forward/reverse control on Berkeley 12JE/JF, Low Profile Place Diverter, Bayjet and Drake Jet Drives also used when manual control lever is coupled to a Berkeley Jet-O-Vator.  Diameter of plastic jacket is .450".  Overall travel of cable is 3".  Both ends are secured via a waist in the metal portion of the housing.  Cable ends are 1/4"-28 NF thread.  Many OEM cables had red jackets.
